How to Identify Bee Hives
Posted - 01/13/2012
Hanging bee hives have a tapered, cylindrical shape, and they are attached to a tree branch or another hanging structure. Some hives, which range in size from 1-4 square feet, are found inside of trees and small openings in buildings. Many homeowners believe that bee hives are not a problem because they only spot a few bees traveling in and out of the hive. However, anywhere from 50,000-100,000 bees can live inside. Never disturb or provoke the hive. Some bees attack in swarms consisting of more than 20,000. A professional removal is recommended in order to ensure your safety and to prevent the bees from reestablishing the hive.
